We made it to ATLANTA!!!
We are very thankful for…...how good the Lord has been to us in this process. He has done much more and gone way beyond what we were expecting with us in these last 13 days. He has given us the support of great family as well as a wonderful community of believers, a car, an apartment starting August 15th, a bank account, cell phones, Georgia driver's licenses (pictured to the right) and many other things. We have been blown away by what He has allowed us to accomplish and the support we have had in doing so.
....the outreach camp that is happening right now in the Dominican Republic. This past week we had our first outreach camp of the summer after Katie and I moved to the US and it was wonderful. About 140 teens had the opportunity to hear the Gospel and 85% of them made a commitment to follow Jesus. What a wonderful job the team has done on week one of five for this summer....you because people like you is what makes this ministry posible. There is no way to do this without you being a part of our team. We really appreciate all your prayers and financial support as we begin this new aventure. We are looking forward to continue working alongside you so we all can reach as many kids as possible for Jesus.Upcoming Events - Please keep praying for:-Katie starts at Mount Paran Christian School July 31st.-I (Aldo) continue planing new strategies to recruit new work teams to go to our Young Life Camp in the Dominican as well as keep looking for individuals/ministries/churches that would like to invest in the mission of Young Life in the Dominican. -The next 4 weeks there will be around 145 teens each week at our outreach camp in the Dominican. Please pray for funding and that God open their hearts to listen to the Gospel. Please also pray for the leaders that will be unpacking the the good news of Jesus to this kids.-Our adjustment to settling down in Atlanta; that things keep being smooth as we move forward in this new and fun aventure.Click here to see our update video: www.youtube.com/watch

265 Leaders. 2 weekends. 1 purpose.
...To prepare leaders to share the great news of Christ.
Two weekends Mar 28-30 and Apr 11-13 we prepared and executed a training camp for key leaders who hope to bring their friends to outreach camp in a few months.
The weekends were filled with practical training, prayer, worship and fellowship all with the purpose to equip these key leaders to bring their friends to camp this summer.
Here are a few pictures of our time together:

We are so grateful for all of the people that make Young Life in the Dominican possible.

Grace.
These past eight months have been perhaps the hardest yet most remarkable season for us in the Dominican.
We started the year with the departure of a dear staff member due to some unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances. Just when we thought the waters were beginning to cool down, and life seemed to be getting back to "normal," we received a late night phone call that a friend and fellow ministry worker had been in a car accident that took her life.
As summer camp was approaching, we were down many a few staff already, others began to suffer physical ailments. It looked as though a disaster loomed ahead of us, not to mention the disaster that we could still see in the rearview mirror.
While this has been a very difficult chapter of our life, looking back, there is one obvious common thread. Grace.

"My grace is sufficient for you, my power made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
We are learning that His grace IS sufficient. When I am weak, He is strong.
