Aldo is a Dominican national from a small country town outside of La Vega. Aldo was your average Dominican teen who was approached by a friend and invited to attend Vida Joven camp. Aldo agreed, excited for an adventure, to get out of his town, but didn't realize his life was about to change. That week at camp Aldo met the Lord. Since then, he has been passionate about giving other students the same opportunity someone gave him, to make Christ the center of his life. 
Katie hails from Minnesota, and grew up in a home where she was taught Christian values from day one. In middle school, she had the opportunity to change this Christianity thing into a personal relationship with Jesus. In high school Katie's life was changed after going on a missions trip to Latin America, where she fell in love with the people, the language, and the culture. The rest is history. Katie came down to the Dominican in 2005 to teach at an international school, and volunteer with Young Life. Aldo at the time happened to be the club director where Katie was volunteering.
Their eyes met.
Their hearts met.
They fell in love.
They got married in November of 2007, and soon after Katie decided to go on full-time staff with Young Life. She now works as the Wyld Life team co-leader and is the administrator for Vida Joven (the spanish ministry). Aldo currently works as the training director and resource director.
